These primarily smaller filtration systems (typically with a filtration area of just 5 - 200 m2) are more suitable where there are intermittent processes, e.g: dedusting in conveyor systems, silos or workplaces .
Cleaning is done using a motorized vibrator (or by hand) that causes the filter bag to vibrate. The filter cake separates from the filter bag and falls into the collection bin. Cleaning can only take place when the filtration process is offline.
During the cleaning process, the vibrating filter material will be subjected to high mechanical pressure. However, because vibrating filters are typically only operated intermittently and are not designed to operate continuously over long periods of time, filter media with sturdy fabric support can still have a service life of several years.
